Information for new patients considering registration with our practice
The practice is currently accepting new patients. That means that our list is open and we will be happy to register any patients who live within our catchment area and provide them with General Medical Services.
The catchment area, or the areas which the practice is contracted to provide General Medical Services to are:

If the area you stay in is not listed above, please contact the practice and we will advise whether your area is covered or not. We can be contacted on 01259 742120.
Registration with the practice is easy. All you need to do is pop in and collect the necessary forms, complete them and return them along with an appropriate form of identification and we'll do the rest. Alternatively, you can download a registration pack from this website, complete the forms and return them to the health centre. As soon as you have completed the forms and returned them to us, you can then make appointments as required. A new patient medical is not compulsory and is not required unless you specifically request one.
Transferring your medical records
Your medical records will be transferred from your previous practice and that usually takes around about 2 to 3 weeks if you're transferring from another Scottish practice. If you're transferring from England or Northern Ireland, it can take a bit longer. If you have come to this country from out-with the United Kingdom, we won't get any records for you. You don't need to do anything to transfer your records. We'll do it all for you.
Acceptable forms of identification are passports, driving licences or birth certificates. If you haven't got access to appropriate identification, please inform reception at the time of registration who will advise on what you should do. We will be able to register patients without identification in special circumstances.
Finalising the process
That's it. Once we have your records the transfer process is complete. In the main the transfer process will remain seamless and you should experience no hiccups when transferring surgery. The most you'll need to do is complete a couple of forms and provide us with identification. If you would like to inspect the summary of your medical records, please make a request to our administration team. No one knows you better than you do and if there's something missing from your medical records or your summary we'd like to know about it!
